In the past, parapsychological phenomena has been thought to have something to do with electromagnetic fields or various energetic forces. However, the paranormal abilities of levitation, telekinesis, teleportation, remote viewing, and telepathy tend to transcend spacetime boundaries and create problems for those espousing to explain models based on energy.
I believe that the aforementioned supernatural powers could be better explained by the holographic principle as posited by quantum physicist, David Bohm, and neuroscientist, Karl Pribram. For example, in the power of telekinesis, there?s no need to speculate how one can move objects that appear to be separate from the self when, on a deeper level, there is no such thing as ?separation.? Furthermore, how can your consciousness be limited to a specific form in spacetime when in truth, there is no such thing as ?spacetime? and there is no such thing as ?form.? The ultimate truth is that there is nothing but consciousness.
In the ?Star Wars? movies, George Lucas introduces us to ?the force,? which is explained as an energy field that binds the universe together. The force has two movements: firstly, it speaks to us, and secondly, it obeys our commands. It is simultaneously a transmitter and a receiver. When we look at Bohm?s explicative and implicative orders, we see that the explication order describes an unfolding or a transmitting of information from a 2D informational imprint, and the implication order describes a folding inwards, or a receiving of the information from us (consciousness) here in the 3D reality of the holographic universe. Both Bohm and Lucas are essentially describing the same ebb and flow of information that comes from its creator and goes to its perceiver.
So if we ? as beings of pure consciousness ? are not limited to a specific space in time, then theoretically we should be able to (at the speed of thought) transport our bodies across the spacetime continuum somewhat effortlessly. Like a baby learning to take its first steps on its own, with practice, the supernatural ability of teleportation seems well within our reach. Dr. Pribram explains paranormal actions in this way: things are really not solid, so when our perception of reality shifts, we will inherit the power to change our reality as we see fit.
So, you may be asking, ?Why don?t more of us have these supernatural abilities?? Well, I believe the rarity of them in our species is a reflection of our current stage of evolutionary consciousness. The more we begin to believe in our divine powers, the faster we will grow into them. But we have to be careful. As the saying goes, ?With great power comes great responsibility.? If we had developed these paranormal abilities before now, I think it would have probably gone straight to our heads. The ego would have most likely used these abilities to serve itself. But as we successfully transcend our collective egoic mind, we will instead use our ?Jedi? powers to serve humanity at large.
