The Mumbai Indians? (MI?s) opener Aiden Blizzard praised Harbhajan Singh for leading the franchise to a title win in the Champions League Twenty20 tournament on Sunday, October 9, 2011.

Blizzard claimed that Harbhajan was a very aggressive captain and gave a lot of confidence to the team, which was not considered as favourites before the start of the tournament.

MI?s regular skipper Sachin Tendulkar was unable to take part in the event due to a toe injury. However, he supported his side until the end of the tournament.

Pakistan?s all-rounder Shoaib Malik has set his eyes on the upcoming series against Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first Test match between the two countries will start from Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

Malik said that he was pleased on being a part of the team once again, but wanted to perform in order to retain his position.

The veteran player was brought back into the side for the series against Zimbabwe, but failed to make an impression. However, the national selectors have decided to give him another opportunity to prove his mettle.

England?s all-rounder Ravi Bopara has aimed to improve his bowling on the Indian tour, as he believes that it will be required during the limited-over series against the World Champions.

According to Bopara, the pitches in India are very good for the batsmen, which might make life difficult for some of the regular bowlers.

This is why the all-rounder believes that his role will be crucial with the ball throughout the tour.

Australia?s star middle-order batsman Michael Hussey has been given a break from domestic cricket, after he returned from playing the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India.

The 36-year-old was scheduled to take part in a four day match for Western Australia against Tasmania, but will now head straight to South Africa for a complete series.

Sri Lanka?s pace ace Lasith Malinga was pleased with his performances during the Champions League Twenty20 tournament.

The right-arm speedster was named player-of-the-tournament for his all-round performances throughout the tournament. He played a crucial role in helping Mumbai Indians (MI) lift the trophy.
